Chris McRae is an internationally acclaimed professional astrologer in Edmonton, Canada.  She has a lively consulting practice both in Edmonton and abroad with a large client base, and has been teaching astrology consecutively since 1970.

Chris teaches an ten Semester structured course  from the Beginners to advanced stages such as Expanded Concepts, Advanced Chart Interpretation, Horary, Mundane, Relocation and Medical astrology.   These classes can lead one to certification in a globally recognized certification program. This course was taught as a VI Semester Course at Grant MacEwan College from 1972-1982 which was the first college in North American to incude Astrology in its Adult Extension Department.   These classes have been ongoing since 1972 into 2020 plus.

For many years, Chris has been lecturing widely in many different countries coducting workshops, and appearing on the faculty of asrological conferences wordwide including United Astrological Congress (UAC), International Society of Astrological Reserarch (ISAR), National Council of Geoconsmic Research (NCGR), American Federation of Astrologers (AFA), Astrological Association of Great Britain (AAGB), ARGO in South Africa, FAA in Australia, and many others including Russia, Serbia, Turkey, China, Israel.. She has conducted enrichment lectures on board luxury liners  in Asia, South Pacific and Alaska.  

Chris has been been on the Board of Directors for the AFA, ISAR, UAC, AFAN, as well as Founder, Past President and Honorary Life President of the Edmonton Astrological Society that she founded in 1977.

Chris is retired Vice-President of ISAR (International Society of Astrological Research), Chair ISAR Certification Program, and Chair ISAR International Councill that faciliitated the development of the ISAR Certification program into many different countries including Russia,Turkey, Israel, Serbia, Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, and more in the future near future.

In 1982 she received the FCA Astrological Hall of Fame Uranus award for "Innovative ideas and Outreach nationally and internationally".  In 2005 she was a Regulus Award Nominee ( the Oscars for the astological world), and in 2012 she received the Regulus award for Professionalism in Astrology and in 2014 she received the ISAR Lifetime Achievement Award.

To date she has published three books, "The Geodetic World Map", "Understanding Interceptions";  "Geodetic Astrology for Relocation and Mundane", as well as contributing a Chapter to 6 others: "Astrology of the Macrocosm", "How to Start, Build and Maintain and Astrological Practice, "From Here to There, An Astrologer's Guide to Astromapping", "The Judge Case", "The Professional Astrologer", and  "Music in Astrology".  

Her earlier career was in broadcasting, television production, as well as Television and Motion Picture make-up design and special effects.
